Thank You from Molly

Dear Deb [and Lindsey],
Just a note to let you know how pleased I was with Molly's month-long stay with you and the training that Lindsey gave her. When I met with Lindsey for my training, I could tell how much she loved working with dogs and the bond that she had formed with Molly. The tips that she gave me for continuing with Molly's training were invaluable, and I am faithfully working toward having that "perfect" dog!
I was especially happy to be able to "visit" Molly via the blog that you post daily. Many of the pictures and comments made me laugh out loud, and I felt confident that Molly was having a grand time with her new friends.

Deb Scanzillo, is the owner and Certified Trainer of Dogs Bay Training and Dogs Bay Country Club for Dogs. Deb is a 1994 graduate of Companion School for Dog's Certification Course in Behavior Modification and Obedience. Lindsey Lehman is a certified educator currently working in the Holland area. She completed her Certification in Dog Obedience and Behavior Modification through Dogs Bay Training in the spring of 2009. Lindsey is also the new proud owner of Dogs Bay Training North (a subsidiary of Dogs Bay Training) helping to better serve the greater Grand Haven/Muskegon Areas.
She has worked with dogs for over 5 years and has developed a vast understanding of animal psychology and behavior through her many years of rehabilitating wildlife as well.
"I have always been intrigued with animals; the way they communicate and interact with one another, their social structures, and how well they can read humans! Even though I work with dog's everyday, I am constantly humbled by the intelligence, loyalty, and friendship they demonstrate to us humans. It's no wonder they are called our best friends!
My goal in Dog Training is to help bridge the communication gap between man and dog. I want to renew "that special bond" humans often share with their canine companions so the owner not only understands how to communicate commands properly, but also learns how to "unleash" and have some fun with their dog.

Robert Crough - "I've been around dogs all my life, personally and professionally. As a teen in Kentucky and Tennesee I would watched intently as ranchers and stock contractors use Cattle Dogs to control massive herds of livestock with grace and precision. I've been able to witness first hand how the Kiwi train Aussie Shepards to heard sheep in New Zealand. These experiences motivated me to go to G.V.S.U. for an AS in animal biology 2004,2005. In 2006 I was hired at Companion School for Dogs as a manager of the dog school, and was quickly promoted to General Manager of the company. I was able to be taught dog behavior by two of the mostsuccessful trainers in the state, Deb Scanzillo, and the late Jim Scanzillo. My experience there was priceless. I was pack leader for a free roam pack of 25 dogs! In 2007 I traveled to Los Angeles to attend a dog behavior class put on by the "Dog Whisperer" himself Cesar Milan! I'm now at Dogs Bay in the Dog Rehabilitation Pack and as a personal trainer".
